The Church Exploration Project – My pilgrimage to see the diversity of the American church, especially queer affirming Lutherans and those in full communion with them.
About us: We met in Cincinnati and have lived in Chicago for the last five years before putting our stuff in storage to begin this bicycle odyssey.
Zyzzy is from Nashville, Tennessee, and Justin is from West Lafayette, Indiana. We share a love of exploring the world by bike, good food, and a desire to live in ways that are more in tune with our well being and the well being of the planet; bikes and sharing home cooked meals are a big part of that.
The bike tour is our attempt to see sides of North America that you don’t get to see by car or airplane. We’ll be exploring the liminal and neglected spaces that are found along the bike trails of this country. Along the way we hope to meet people who will show us their towns and communities. We’re always looking for someone to share a meal with or somewhere we can put our tent up for the night.
