Psalm 85:8-13 – 8/6/2026
Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his faithful, to those who turn to him in their hearts.
Psalm 85:8 (NRSVue)
The Psalmist says that the Lord will speak peace to God’s people. This Psalm leads me to reflect how peace is spoken to me. I find peace out in nature on the bike trails where I can see and hear birds and have the space and the quiet to hear peace, which often comes so quietly it can be missed if the world is too loud. Peace to be oneself. Peace to thrive. Peace to care about others and things bigger than oneself. Peace to experience and express gratitude. Peace that allows me to speak peace to others.
